What’s really behind the culture and identity of a country? What do you find when you look at who shaped it? A few years ago, as “the impossible” started to feel… oddly normal, Discovery set out to explore identity across Latin America through the lens of minority communities and their lasting influence. The idea was simple: who we are today is shaped by who came before. The timing, as mentioned, was interesting. The political climate in the U.S. and across the region was shifting, which naturally nudged the series toward a more careful lens, focusing on contribution and influence rather than the heavier parts of their stories. In its own way, it felt more necessary. Sometimes, the goal is simply to bring a bit of joy back into the conversation. Here's a teaser and sample episodes.
